ITINERARY - DAY ONE - RUTHERGLEN

2:00PM - STANTON & KILLEEN (RUTHERGLEN), MASTER BLENDERS: BLEND YOUR OWN MUSCAT

At Stanton & Killeen, they love sharing their knowledge and passion for this extraordinary wine style. The experience provides the opportunity to learn about the winemaking process of Muscat and then have a go at creating your own unique blend from the different parcels of Muscat selected from the ageing Muscat stocks.

The experience starts with a tour through the original 19th Century winery, where an experienced guide will share knowledge and interesting historical stories about the winery, the seven generations of the Stanton & Killeen family, and the fortified casks that line the tour path. Along the way, you'll sip through the Rutherglen Muscat classification, learning about the different styles and ages of our Rutherglen, Classic, Grand and Rare Muscats. Then you'll put your newfound knowledge to the test and hone your skills in Muscat blending by tasting four different Muscat parcels and testing different ratios before creating your perfect blend.

Finally, when you're happy with your desired blend, they will bottle it for you with a custom label so you can take it home to share with friends and family (or not, if you think it's too good to share).

ITINERARY - DAY TWO - MILAWA & KING VALLEY

9:00AM - BROWN BROTHERS MILAWA, PROSECCO BRUNCH

Chill out in your very own private Prosecco Lounge as you taste your way through Brown Brothers entire Prosecco range. Indulge in a gourmet spread of freshly baked sweets and pastries, local Milawa cheeses, terrines, and fresh seasonal fruits. Brunch runs from 9 – 11 am, leaving you plenty of time to continue your King Valley Prosecco Road experience.

12:30PM - PIZZINI WINES (KING VALLEY), KING VALLEY ESPERIENZA

Immerse yourself in Pizzini’s light drenched Kiln Tasting Room and discover the family’s winemaking history and the allure of aged wines. Compare new release wines to aged back vintages as you experience firsthand how these wines develop over time, and what influence different sites have on each wine.

After your tasting, select a glass of wine to enjoy with an Italian style grazing platter in the Cellar Door grounds.
